Here’s a fascinating article. I heard it mentioned on the radio today and was intrigued.

Apparently Dr. Bloom has conducted studies that conclude, at least to his own satisfaction, that it is demonstrable that babies have the recognition of good and evil from the time they are born.

Going Green for Lent

This article from Newsweek talks about a woman who is going to “reduce her carbon footprint” for Lent. It refers to other Christians who are taking a similar approach and even ropes the Pope into the story inferring that he is onside with this because of his admonition to be good stewards of the planet.

There is another article regarding two UK Bishops who are encouraging their parishioners to observe Lent by going green and as it turns out, they are of the Anglican communion. That story here and here.

More from Fr. Barron on Religion and Science

I don’t entirely agree with his polar symmetry of error regarding the Intelligent Design theory and the atheists. There are nuances to ID and variations of theory that make this objection disappear.

Otherwise, thematically it is right on the mark, in my opinion.
